The Bio of r&b singer, producer, writer Michael Lyles

        Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, at the age of 16 Michael Lyles received his first musical keyboard from his father. At receiving this all so new equipment, the question that surprises us all in which Michael asked his father is: “What am I suppose to do with this keyboard”? In turn Harry Lyles told his son Michael to figure it out. From poor in humble beginnings Michael and his family could not afford to pay for piano lessons. To no worries Michael then taught himself to play by ear.

           Shortly after perfecting his craft, at the age of 17 Michael auditioned for a non-profit Record Label by the name of: Teen Patrol Records in Chicago IL. By the time Michael auditioned for Teen Patrol Records he already had a catalog full of songs that he wrote on himself. During the time of Michael’s audition with Teen Patrol Records, the label was in great need of a young but talented staff producer and writer. Who was best to fit the position than Michael Lyles because after auditioning for the position, Teen Patrol Records elected Michael to be their #1 producer and writer.

           At the age 18, how was Michael able to handle such a highly devoted position? Well Michael was never a person to run from big challenges. Although Teen Patrol Records had at least 10 acts from multi cities (singers, rappers), he always found ways to learn what was necessary to learn at the time of request as the only producer for Teen Patrol. To each ones credit, Teen Patrol has trained Michael on how to record, sequence, mix and master songs. For 3 years Michael has wrote and produced for Teen Patrol Record from 2000 to 2003. Before leaving, Michael was able to accomplish in producing 3 full compilation albums, 10 EP albums, 12 #1 single on a independent level and 8 Demo’s.

Recently of 2009 Michael Lyles has completed his first studio EP (press kit) in title: FIRE. Michael is a up and coming rising star that people should want to know because his music touches many and speaks great volume.
