Tymeless Tunes Entertainment was founded in July of 1998 by Benedict “Kcey” Charles; Independent Song Lyricist and Music Publisher with the following objectives:
· To assist young and aspiring persons interested in the art, with their self-development
· To become affiliated with any other organization, local, regional or international that can provide technical or educational expertise
· To undertake Song writing & Music Publishing Services
Tymeless Tunes Entertainment specializes in R&B/Ballads, Gospel/Inspirational, Calypso, and Soca compositions. Kcey’s musical influences include: Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Boyz II Men, Tony Rich, R. Kelly to name a few.
Tymeless Tunes’ most recent accomplishments include the release of a CD entitled “Reminiscence” in 1999, which featured a compilation of songs in various genres performed by local artists such as: Deridee Williams – locally renowned Jazz & R&B vocalist, Minelius Anthony – band leader & lead vocalists of a resident band on a popular cruise line, Nigel “Kingfish” Larcher – former lead vocalist of a popular reggae band in the late ‘80’s/early 90’s, Lady Leen (popularly renowned in the Calypso arena, who in 2006 celebrated her sixteen year anniversary) and Selwyna Charles – former lead vocalist of local band: “Future Lights” and now lead vocalist and band leader of “Family Affair”. We have since secured Publisher Membership with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and Writer membership with the Hewannorra Musical Society (HMS).
Over the past years Tymeless Tunes have collaborated with other performers and music producers namely: Christopher Neil (Den Music Studios), Carlos St. Omer (JVC Productions), Angus Christopher of the (Royal St. Lucia Police Band) and Miss Bliss Music in Mississippi, USA. These works include the release of several singles in various musical genres.
Future projects include the release of other potential and popular singles, Calypsoes and the publication of a book of poems. As well as tentatively sooner a compilation of prominent Calypso singles such as the ever popular “medicine chest article”: “I Go Want (My Viagra)” (released in 2005) - performed by this company’s first “official calypso offspring” Nathaniel “Humble” Stanislas. “A King’s Biography” (Tribute to Pep) - in recognition of one of St. Lucia’s most decorated Calypsonians who in 2006 celebrated his 20th anniversary. “One Caribbean Anthem”; (one of the unique undertakings acknowledging the efforts of our Caribbean leaders in the implementation of the Caricom Single Market & Economy) and the soon expected: “Of Paradise D-Lite” (Simply Beautiful) a calypso flavoured track promoting the island of St. Lucia as the ultimate tourist destination as well as the most recent “Karaoke Kraze” – the official “karaoke anthem” to name a few.
Tymeless Tunes continues to make contributions to “Kaiso Headquarters”, a Calypso competition held annually amongst the rank and file of the Royal St. Lucia Police Force as well as to the national Junior Calypso Competition.
Towards the end of 2008 work commenced on the redo (by popular request) of several of the most prominent tracks from the first album. The first single: “Reminiscing” which is performed by Steve Parker a well travelled and experienced vocalist, also features the acclaimed vocalist, arranger and songwriter Kellis “Qshan Deya” Quashie who laced the harmonies and background, will be released towards the end of January 2009. Music arranged by band leader and producer Sam Epiphane of Total Earth Movement (T.E.M.) band at Bomb drop Studios, Monchy, St. Lucia.
